FAQ’S

We want you to enjoy every minute of Lawnfest; so, to help we’ve put together these FAQs to help you plan your day and make it as perfect and hiccup-free as possible.

What time does it start?
Lawnfest begins at 3.00pm, and ends at 10.00pm, but gates open from 2.45pm.

Are tickets available on the day?
Subject to availability, you can buy tickets at the gate. You can even pay by card.

What does my ticket include?
Entrance to the site with access to the music stage, art exhibition, and kids’ garden. You’ll also receive a selection of tear-off vouchers to use around the site at various eateries and activity areas and the full Lawnfest programme which lists everything that’s going on around the site, and more.

Can I come and go during the event?

You certainly can, as long as you remember to wear the Lawnfest wristband you’re given when you first arrive.

Where do I get my wristband?

At the entrance gate.

Can I bring my children?

Absolutely! Lawnfest is open to all the family, and we have a brilliant Kids’ Garden bursting with activities, entertainers, play stuff and fun creative workshops for children of all ages to enjoy.

Will children be admitted on their own?

Sorry, no. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Can I bring my pet?

As much as we love our four-legged friends, too many could result in canine chaos. For this reason, the only animals we can allow are guide dogs and hearing dogs for the deaf.

When is my favourite band playing?

Take a look at this year’s line-up to find out.

Is the car park close to the festival site?

It couldn’t get any closer. It’s right on the site. Hooray.

Can we bring our own alcohol?

We are licensed and serve a super selection of alcoholic and soft drinks. If you would like to bring your own alcohol, it should only be a reasonable amount for personal consumption per person. You cannot leave the site and re-enter with more alcohol.

Do you have disabled access?

Yes. The site is mostly laid over lawn and there are accessible paths to all the festival’s main areas; disabled toilets are located and clearly marked around the site; and St John’s Ambulance Service will be with us to provide medical support if and when it is required.

Can we bring a tent and camp?

No. Lawnfest is a day-long festival. Please do not bring your own personal tent as you will not be allowed to take it on site. Personal tents and overnight camping are not permitted.

Where’s the nearest cashpoint?
Sevenoaks Town Centre, which is a 20-25 minute walk away, so whilst you can pay for some things by card, we recommend you bring enough cash with you to last all day, otherwise you might end up with very tired feet.

Are there any hotels or B&Bs nearby?

Yes; TripAdvisor may be able to guide you towards finding the right accommodation for you.

Do you recycle?

We aim to recycle as much paper, plastic bottles and cans as we can, and have a team of volunteers that help keep the site clean and tidy throughout the day.

Where do I go if I lose something?
Please report or hand-in any missing items to the Lost Property office, situated at the main entrance to the school. If you realise you’ve lost something at Lawnfest after the event, don’t worry, you can contact Sara Henderson at the school to see if she can locate it for you.

Can I bring a picnic?

Absolutely, and a picnic blanket too! But don’t forget we serve some yummy organic food prepared by top international chef Nicole Walshaw from the Lawnfest Food Shed.

Do you serve food?

We don’t just serve food; we serve amazing food. Mouth-watering bites that do-si-do around with your tastebuds, sing a little song for your senses and take you to experience a slice of food heaven. From tropical fruits and exotic cupcakes to gourmet canapés and tasty organic burgers and sandwiches, our selection of food is more than impressive. So tuck in. Munch. And enjoy.

Where does the money go?
Lawnfest is a fundraising festival, and all profits go directly to the West Heath School, registered charity 1069677. West Heath is a very special school that uses education to rebuild the lives of emotionally traumatised children. The work they do turns lives around. It’s incredible stuff. It is a charity though, and relies on the generosity of people like you to help keep it going. Funds raised via Lawnfest goes directly towards providing-+ bursaries for children who really need the school’s expert help. And, if you’d like to donate a little extra, please do. You can donate on the day at the gate, or online.

Lawnfest is organised by West Heath Centre Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of West Heath School to which all profits are donated. West Heath 2000 Reg. Charity no.: 1069677
